Follow these steps to create a new data source.

Got to Media -> Data Sources, then click the 'New Data Source' button

Complete fields

Complete the following fields - Name, Content Type, Source Type, and Current Timezone (which may be pre-filled by your browser). If you choose:


  • Manual upload - you will be prompted to manually upload files
  • S3 bucket - supply the bucket Source URI
  • Google - supply tags
  • Rtmp - supply a Source URI and Media Server Playback URL
  • Dropbox - supply the dropbox Source URI
  • Device


For S3 and Dropbox source types, choose from the following source formats:

  1. Files (where the files are in the source in one flat directory structure), or
  2. Devices (where the files are in a nested folder structure of data sources, entities and recording sessions).


Click 'Save Data Source'

File ingestion

Manual Upload

If you chose a source type of 'Manual Upload', you will then be able to drag and drop or select files to upload.


All other types

If you chose any other source type, the files will begin ingesting automatically in the background. Refresh the page to see the results of ingestion progress.
