Follow these steps to create a new project.

Complete project fields

Go to the Projects page in the side nav,  then click on "New Project" then complete the following fields:

  • Name
  • Description
  • Project Type - leave this blank, this field is deprecated
  • Parent Project - if this is to be a child of another project
  • Object Classes- the object classes to be available in this project. Object classes set to be included by default will already show up in this list. Others can be added.
    • Alternatively, after you have created your new project, you can use the Copy Taxonomy function to include a complete list of classes and attributes from another project
  • Plugins - keep the default value 
  • Model - leave this blank, this field is deprecated
  • Checkpoint - leave this blank, this field is deprecated
  • Default Search Query - the text that will appear by default in the annotations filter field. This determines the annotations that are visible - only annotations with object class or attributes matching this text are shown and submitted by default.   • Data Source Stage - Choose the data source that you want to be used in the first stage of this project
  • Load Machine Submissions in Annotation Tool - leave this box checked unless you don't want to see any machine submissions in the project


Click the 'Save Project' button.
